This command is useful for scheduling messages to be sent at a later time. It's like setting a reminder for your messages. You can compose a message now and specify a future time for it to be sent, ensuring that important information is communicated at the right moment without you having to remember to send it manually.
How to use
- Initiate the Command: In your Google Chat, type /deferMessage to start scheduling a message to be sent at a later time. This command allows you to plan communication in advance and ensure messages are sent at the right moment.
- Compose Your Message: Write the content of the message you want to schedule. Specify the exact time and date you want the message to be sent.
Example:
/deferMessage "Reminder: Submit your timesheets by 5 PM today." at 4 PM today
- Schedule the Message: Once you have composed your message and specified the time, it will be scheduled to be sent automatically at the designated time.
Example
-
Suppose you want to remind your team about a project deadline tomorrow morning. You can use the command like this:
/deferMessage "Reminder: Project deadline is tomorrow at 5 PM." at 9 AM tomorrow
This will schedule the message to be sent at 9 AM the next day.
